RESEARCH QUESTIONS WITH SAMPLES

Research questions are inquiries into something. These are questions the research seeks to answer and over which data will be collected and analyzed. Your research questions should be asked in relation with the objectives.

A research question is extracted from the objectives. Meaning that if your study has 3 objectives, your research questions should be 3 in number. You cannot have 3 objectives and 4 questions. Each question must be in line with the objectives and must be arranged according to the pattern of the objectives.

Note: The questions should not be asked in such a way that the answer will depict a YES or NO pattern.

For example, don’t asked questions like, was Rome built in a day? The response to this type of question will either be YES or NO. This is not allowed in research (Qualitative or Quantitative).

Your research question can have either of the following formats;

1. How can the issues of urban degradation be solved in Nigeria?

2. What is the problem with land pollution in Africa?

3. To what extent is the effect of in-house human resource on employability?

4. What impact have University degree had on young graduates?

5. How does Government policy influence circulation of money?

6. How has water pollution affected consumables?

7. How did the Government solve the pandemic problem in Nigeria?

8. What are the difference between organic and inorganic chemistry?

9. What are the effect of oil spillage on Farmland?

What type of residential property is predominant in New Haven?

What are the factors that affects preference for residential properties in New Haven?

In what ways can the most preferred type of residential properties be improved?
