I received a message recently from a student on how to carry out academic research on Eastern Research Group. I reviewed the message and have these to say;
Before carrying out such research (which I believe is qualitative research), one needs to search and download materials (if any) on the subject, to help in writing the introduction or background of the study and literature review section. The historical background of the organization should be studied, as well as what the organization has been able to achieve in the last ten years. Their challenges, struggles, cases, setbacks and wins must be well documented. The downloaded materials will help the student sieve out relevant similarities, disparities and non-conforming statements which could be addressed in the summary of literature, or conclusion. It is based on what is obtained from studying other peoples’ work (if available) that will provide the student with relevant data to write a winning research gap. Also, such student would have to reach out to the organization by contacting them via email, telephone call or visiting their office to request an interview or any relevant document, magazine, or bulletin that could provide the needed data for analysis. This type of research will take a lot of effort to get right, so students should be ready to let go of some valuable time, funds and sleep. The above will form a lead to starting off the research.
