What is KSU               

KSU stands for Kogi State University now known as Prince Abubakar Audu University. KSU is a state-owned university, it is located in the Anyigba area of Kogi State. The institution was established in late 1999 by a one-time former governor of the state “Prince Abubakar Audu University”, the obvious reason for naming the university after him in 2002.

KSU is a renowned and known higher institution of learning South West as most of their students come from that region while a few others are from other parts of Nigeria such as South-South, South-East, and a few others from the Northern part of Nigeria.

The university boasts of eight (8) faculties, fifty-two (52) Departments and seventy-five (75) known programs.

What is the Use of the KSU Portal

The university portal is invaluable to students and the entire university community in that the portal is information-driven. The following are the Main uses of the KSU portal for new and continuing students:

1. To access the KSU e-learning platforms and pages
2. To read updates on admissions
3. To access individual students’ online profiles from their respective dashboards
4. To generate school fee invoices, payment, and upload/registration of the paid fees;
5. For registration of semester courses and lodgment of complaints;
6. To register and pay/secure bed spaces in the school hostels;
7. To access and download semester results, ICT sheets, and clearance forms

General Requirement for Admission to KSU

The following are the minimum requirements that a student wanting to apply to KSU should possess;

1. Candidates should select Prince Abubakar Audu University (Kogi State University) as their first choice institution.
2. The candidates should be 16 years or older to apply to KSU
3. Candidates must have a JAMB score of 140 and above in the last UTME exercise to qualify for KSU post-UTME screening.
4. O’ level combination should be composed of five (5) credit passes based on the KSU entry requirement
5. The relevant O’level subjects’ combination must be acquired before application for post-screening. Results in English and any other relevant (based on departments’ acceptance requirements) subjects necessary for admission.
6. Candidates awaiting O’level results can apply for post-UTME but should indicate it during the registration on the KSU portal.

KSU UTME Screening Application Portal

To qualify for KSU online UTME screening the following steps must be done via the university’s portal.

1. Candidates are required to log in to the KSU official portal and then click on the “UTME screening application” button.
2. Enter your UTME registration number as a user ID and unique password. The password can be changed after the first login.
3. Click on “pay UTME fee” in the online payment area. You will be required to pay the sum of N2,000 (Two Thousand Naira Only) via online transfer, ATM debit card, or over the counter at any recommended commercial banks within Kogi State (especially the banks inside the school premises). Complete the application form with the Bio-data form including other information.
4. Fill out the popped-up form then enter the “submit button” to complete the application.
5. You will be required to upload a light (about 200KB or less) size passport photograph (recent copy) with a white background.
6.   Preview the filled application to be sure it’s properly done.
7. After submission of the application, candidates should print out their “registration slip” to be able to access the UTME screening hall.

The following activities can be carried out on the KSU portal;

KSU Original Certificate, Statement of Results and Transcript Application:

Kogi State University (PAAU) original school certificate, statement of results and transcripts can be applied for on the KSU portal with ease. to access the portal go to the certificate payment dashboard.

You are to key in your matriculation number, phone number, email address, full name, and the programme you did in KSU, then select payment to proceed.

Prince Abubakar Audu University (PAAU) School Fees for 2024/2025 Academic Session:

1. Fees for 100-level and 200-level Direct Entry candidates:

Indigenes of Kogi State – N57,500.00 (Fifty Seven Thousand Five Hundred Naira).

Non-indigenes of Kogi State – N100,000.00 (One Hundred Thousand Naira).

• Fees for returning students (200 to 400 levels students)

Indigenes pay a total of N46,500.00 (Forty-Six Thousand Five Hundred Naira).

Non-indigenes pay the sum of N89,000.00 (Eighty Nine Thousand Naira).

• New admitted students of KSU pay an acceptance fee of N30,000.00 (Thirty Thousand Naira). The acceptance fee can be paid at recommended banks within KSU premises after generating payment invoices from the university portal.
• The KSU hostel fee is the sum of N25,000.00 (Twenty Five Thousand Naira), hostel accommodation can be applied for and secured online via the KSU portal. The N25,000.00 is only for a bed space as the room is shared. The male and female hostels are apart, access to the female hostel is more restricted compared to that of the male hostel.
