Many university candidates are frustrated today because they either failed the JAMB examination or had a low score. Although JAMB reduced the cut-off marks to 180, many universities will not succumb to it, as it appears that their standards may be lowered if they adopt the same parameters as their lower competitors in the academic space. The universities are:

• Miva Open University:

This is a private university that offers express admission without asking for JAMB results or even Post UTME screening. They have qualified lecturers, both indigents and foreign and fully equipped to put their students on the right path for the future challenges.

• National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN)

This university has been in operation for a long time and has produced thousands of students who are presently in highly competitive positions with other top-rated universities in Nigeria. It is located across many states in the country and is headed by professors of high reputation and academic prowess. They offer all major courses that other universities do and are in high demand. Candidates do not need JAMB results to be admitted.

• Iconic Open University

This is one of the new universities in Nigeria that stands on a technology-driven model. They do not require JAMB, and their admission process is flexible. They offer major art courses and education courses.

• West Midlands Open University, Ibadan:

This university is located in Ibadan. It is a major distance learning school where students participate remotely. Due to the flexible teaching style, working-class individuals can also attend while running their businesses and offices. They only require O-level in one or two sittings to admit students every year.

• Al-Muhibbah Open University, Abuja:

This university is approved by NUC and has been in operation since 2023. The university runs a distance learning program for undergraduate courses. They only require O-level to give admission, and they are very prominent in Abuja.
