Completing your project/thesis in 14days is possible if only you can adopt and use the strategies that i have provided herein.

I’m sure you are wondering how you can achieve this in 14days. Here’s the hack; in the past 3years I have coached students across Africa on a proven strategy which is workable by anybody irrespective of your academic level. Project writing commands a lot of attention and commitment, hence, to achieve convincing results it is necessary to do proper planning at inception; this is where the research proposal comes in.

The ability to outline the actions to be taken with the intention to adopt proactive measures in achieving the laid down plan is what brings a student closer to completion. Now, the eventual application of the outline brings about completion of the research project/ thesis.

To complete your research project and thesis in good time, you will have to do the following;

**Spread your actions across a number of days, in this case I’m adopting 14days. The essence of this spread is to help you concentrate on individual tasks per day without getting confused at any point in time. Before embarking on research, a lot of time must have been put in studying relevant literature to your study; it is after you must have read and reviewed these materials that you would come up with a suitable topic for approval (for details on how to develop suitable project topics, you can read up “How to Choose the Right Project Topic”).

After studying related literature and submitted your topic for approval, the following actions should be carried out:

**The first is to develop your Background of the Study, Aim, Objective, Research Questions, Statement of the problem, Scope and Hypothesis, these can be done in 24hours (remember, you are already armed with relevant literature), once this is done, hurry to your supervisor and submit for corrections.

**As you await your corrections, quickly return to the materials (e.g., Journals) containing relevant literature to your study and start writing your reviews (at this point you must have read the whole material and acclimatized yourself with the information contained therein), your literature reviews should be written in your own words (paraphrased) so as to avoid plagiarism. This has to be properly planned so you don’t wear out in the process. In your planning, you can decide to list your headings and sub-headings, placing them under sections e.g., 2.0, 2.1, 2.2, 2.2.1 etc. and begin developing same in sections. If you are consistent this can be concluded in 3days max.

** Retrieve your corrections from your supervisor and attend to them squarely, in about 4hours you should be done with the corrections. Continue with your chapter 3 immediately and try to conclude in 48hours (2days), for details on how to write your research methodology click here.

** Submit your chapter 2, 3 and chapter 1 to your supervisor for corrections or approval to the next step. Then return to your chapter 2 to review what you have done (at this point, it is hoped that your chapter 2 won’t have too many corrections, that is, if you followed the guidelines I have provided in the previous articles), in the process of looking at your chapter 2, also look at your chapter 1, prepare your Questionnaires and get it ready for submission, this shouldn’t take more than 24hours to complete.

**The next thing to do is, retrieve your corrected or approved chapter 1,2 and 3 and throw in your questionnaire for inspection.

** Take 1day to do your corrections and some personal survey in your study area.

** Retrieve your questionnaire and start administrating same to respondents. 2days should be enough to administer and retrieve questionnaires.

** Take 3days to do your chapter 4 and 5; submit to your supervisor on the 4^th day and wait for corrections.

**while you wait, quickly start building your reference list, all things being equal, you could finish in 24hours. Delve into your preliminaries and appendix the following day.

** Collect your corrected chapter 4 and 5, attend to the corrections and conclude your work for final corrections.

To successfully achieve the above, you are required to do the following;

Make sure to go through relevant articles in this website for a minimum of three times so that you will be acquainted with the principles of project writing.

Request for a close-door interactive session with your project supervisor on the modalities of submissions and requirements.

Make sure your project topic has been approved. Be determined to reach out to your supervisor at least once every three days to iterate him or her of your progress (via telephone calls or physical visits).

Agree with your supervisor to submit your daily tasks via email on daily basis for review and guidance.

Use professional help to proof read your chapter two.     

***if you follow above guidelines and implement the principles, you’ll have less corrections from your supervisor which in turn would save you some time.

It will interest you to know that you could spend less writing your final year project.

It is a known fact that a lot of students spend as much as between N80,000 to N150,000 writing their project/thesis, reasons being that most students outsource their entire project to other people; however, to reduce the amount spent on project/thesis, you must be determined to write at least 95% of the project yourself, the remaining 5% can be outsourced, the 5% should include professional help in proofreading, editing and data analysis.

If you are able to handle 95% (including typing with your personal computer) of your project successfully, you would have saved a lot of money for yourself. By this, it is possible to spend as low as N20,000 completing your final year project or thesis.
