Overview of the study is also referred to as plan of the study, it deals on the various areas to be treated in your project/thesis. All you are required to do is to state the sections under each chapter (chapter one to chapter five or six). Plan of the study shows your supervisor a description of what you intend to cover in your research. Each chapter will come with various sections that makes up the entire project or research paper. This will equally guide you in completing your research. Its like a road map of the whole research exercise.

SAMPLE

This work has five chapters, chapter one comprises introduction, background of the study, statement of the Problem, aim and objectives of the study, research questions, hypothesis formulation, significance of study, scope of study, limitation of study and overview of study.

Chapter two focuses on the literature review.

Chapter three discusses the research design and methodology of the study to include; re-statement of the problem, brief description of the study area, population of study, sample size and sampling technique, sources of data collection, method of data collection and data presentation and analysis.

Chapter four covered data presentation and analysis and chapter five focused on summary of findings, conclusion and recommendation.
