Re-statement of the problem helps you to remind your readers the major problems that led you into carrying out the study. You don’t have to copy and paste the statement of the problem from chapter one “as most would do” what you should do here is to summarize the problem, taking note of the major problems and re-stating these in this section. The essence of this exercise is to refresh the minds of readers or your supervisor/panel on the problem he/she saw in chapter one so he/she can easily be carried along throughout the process going forward.

New Haven is noted for its busy and lively environment, the layout is endowed with constant water supply, ample electricity supply and tarred roads which makes accessibility convenient. In the past, medium and low-income earners were the major residents with tenement buildings mostly in use. However, in recent times the need for better comfort, family expansion and privacy has instilled an urgency for other types of residential properties such as duplexes, bungalows, block of flats and self-contain. The change in preference of users have caused tenement buildings to appear stale while duplexes, bungalows, block of flats and self-contain fits into modern classification. Some property owners now go as far as converting their tenement rooms to self-contain apartment so as to satisfy user-demand preference.
