Congratulations to you on your success in the just-concluded 2025 JAMB exam. You’ve done well not just for yourself but for your family and everyone looking up to you. You are a few steps from entering the University Polytechnic or Colleges of your choice, so in this article, you will learn 16 steps required of you in your journey to securing admission and winning on campus.

Due to the recent errors that occurred in some regions in Nigeria, the JAMB exam has already been rescheduled for affected students. So, after sitting for the retake, this article will still be here waiting to guide you into a higher institution.

I know it’s too early to start checking for your chosen institution screening dates on their portal, it will not be a waste of time to still check, not just for PUTME dates or information but to get to know more about the school such as visiting their “about us” page and scrolling through their various courses offered, perhaps a few relevant information could be gathered from the visit.

So, you will keep checking to confirm their approved dates of screening and the requirements to qualify you for the screening.

The next important thing you should do is to start gathering all your original credentials such as O’level results, Jamb result, Jamb Admission Letter (If ready), birth certificate, Local Government affidavit, change of name documents (if necessary) and passport photographs. The other relevant documents will be available after you have secured the admission (that is, school admission letter, acceptance letter, evidence of payments/receipts and invoices, ICT cards, etc.).
